The story
Misodam translates as smile-stored, a Korean compound that holds the idea of a smile saved for later. The chima can carry that idea in its small details. A slight fluting at the hem is a detail that shows up in a photograph and not in a mirror. The piece saves a smile for the camera.
This chima sets the waistband a measure above the natural waist for a longer line through the leg. A mid-weight twill blend holds the body. The fluting at the hem is small, a soft wave that catches when the wearer steps. The Seoul workshop lines the upper panel so the waist sits clean under any jeogori or blouse.
