Pogungaon, warm-center. A cheollik built for cold months. Heavier shell, brushed lining at the chest, the chima dropped fuller than the summer cuts. The pleats keep the cheollik geometry intact and the body stays warm through a long day.

A winter wedding where the ceremony runs into a cold cocktail hour. A Lunar New Year visit to a grandparent's house. The piece that keeps the photographs warm.
Cheollik began as a robe for the Joseon court, engineered for a body on horseback. The pleats fall from a fitted yoke so the silhouette holds its line in motion. The architecture survives because the same problem persists, a long shape that has to move without losing its quiet. Winter asks the form for weight, not change.
Mid-weight wool blend over a brushed liner at the chest. The chima drops fuller than the summer reading, the pleats are pressed deeper to hold the line through the colder air. A hidden side zip keeps the panels uninterrupted. The cheollik carries the warmth where the body needs it and lets the skirt breathe.
Worn to a winter ceremony where the bride and the guests both have to stand outside between the vows and the dinner. A Lunar New Year visit to the grandparent's apartment where the heater never quite reaches the entryway. The cheollik reads Korean in the photograph and keeps the wearer warm through the long afternoon.
