The Ipl Silk Floral Skirt.

Reference TKIM-D-067 · 3 to 4 week production

$215 to $305 · quoted in consultation

Ipl prints a small-scale floral on a silk base. The pattern reads as texture from across the room and resolves into individual blooms at speaking distance. The chima falls long from a wide waistband.

The Ipl Silk Floral Skirt

Floral, in silk-touch.

Fabric

Silk-touch polyblend with a soft drape. Lined through the top panel. Hidden side zip.

Occasion

A garden party in late spring. The Mother's Day brunch where the print sits in the family photograph. The afternoon when a floral earns its place rather than asks for it.

The story

Floral patterns have lived in Korean cloth since the silk trade carried botanical motifs across the peninsula. Court wardrobe held large embroidered florals, daily wardrobe carried smaller printed ones. The chima is the natural ground for the smaller scale, where the pleat lets the pattern repeat without crowding the eye.

Silk-touch polyblend with a soft drape, lined through the top panel so the chima holds its waistband shape. The small-scale print reads as texture at distance and as deliberate blooms up close. A hidden side zip keeps the panels uninterrupted. The hem is hand-tacked for clean movement. The whole piece reads as cloth, not pattern.

Worn to the garden party in late spring where the afternoon is long and the photographs happen around the table. The Mother's Day brunch where three generations meet at a restaurant and the print sits in the family photo without stealing it. The chima that earns its print by keeping the scale small.

Hand-finished in Seoul. Inspected and fitted in San Mateo.
