Danbi, sweet-rain. A jeogori-cut blouse with a softer shoulder than the classic and a slightly extended hem. Reads modern from the back and traditional at the goreum. Lightweight, hand-finished at the placket.

Jeogori, sweet-rain.
Lightweight cotton blend. Mother-of-pearl button at the goreum. Hand-finished placket.
A casual family gathering on a Saturday afternoon. A weekday lunch where the jeogori line still reads at the chest. The blouse for the day that wants ease and does not want a sharpened shoulder.
Danbi names the rain that arrives when the field has been waiting for it. The word carries a quiet relief. The jeogori is the upper half of the hanbok, the short jacket with a shoulder set narrow and a closure at the chest. The Danbi carries the form forward and lets the shoulder soften by one increment without losing the line.
Lightweight cotton blend with the right amount of give so the shoulder reads soft. A mother-of-pearl button at the goreum line closes the chest, the placket is hand-finished, the hem extends a touch past the classic jeogori stop. The bust is lined for body. The whole blouse sits closer to a daily shirt than a ceremonial jacket and still reads jeogori at the chest.
Worn to the casual family gathering where the dress code is what everyone landed on by ten in the morning. A weekday lunch on the patio. The blouse for the wearer who wants the jeogori at her chest and does not want to be photographed as a costume. The shoulder does not sharpen.
Hand-finished in Seoul. Inspected and fitted in San Mateo.
