A ceremonial hanbok where the household knows the form. The norigae for hwangap and traditional weddings, the chest ornament that names its lineage in cord and knot alone. The piece that does not need a stone.
The story
Norigae is the ornament tied at the goreum, the ribbon that closes the jeogori. Before the form carried stones or pearls it carried knots. The traditional five-color knot pattern was the original ornament, taught from master to apprentice across generations. The cord and the knot were the work. Everything else came after.

The tassel is hand-finished and falls clean. There is no metal, no stone, no pearl. The piece is the cord and the knot and nothing else.

A traditional wedding where the bride carries the form in its original register. The norigae that does not need any other element to make its case.
