The story
Cherry trees flower for a week in early April across Korea and every photograph of those weeks goes into a family album. The blossom is the public symbol of the moment that will not last. Korean ornament has translated the flower into metal, enamel, and silk for decades. The mini norigae carries the season at the chest at a daily volume.
Enamel cherry blossoms shaped in five petals, hung from a silk cord at the central element. The pink tone is held soft so the piece reads spring rather than red.
