Ramie-blend with a cool hand and breathable weave. Wrap closure with hidden tie.
The summer family table held outdoors. Outdoor lunches in July and August. The piece that breathes through the heat and reads warm at the same time.
Ramie, mosi, is one of the oldest fibers in the Korean textile tradition. The plant is grown in the south of the peninsula, the cloth is woven cool and slightly stiff, and the traditional summer hanbok was almost always cut from mosi. The contemporary ramie-blend keeps the hand and softens the wear.
The Mulmosi series wraps the ramie-blend into a traditional chima. The peach colorway warms the cool hand of the cloth into something readable across a sun-bleached patio. The wrap closure ties at the hip, the hidden tie keeps the line clean. The mid-calf hem clears the grass at an outdoor lunch.
Worn to the outdoor table in August, where the older women in the family wear the same chima in different colors. The peach reads warm against the green of the yard. The grandmother in navy at the head of the table approves the color without saying so. The cloth breathes through the meal and into the photograph after.
