Fabric and details
A cheollik printed with ink-wash brushstrokes across the chima, the bodice held plain. The name carries the Korean ink-wash painting tradition. The print reads as art, not as motif. Mid-weight cotton blend, lined bodice.

Sumukhwa is the Korean ink-wash painting tradition, the practice of black ink on white paper, brush in hand, gesture more than depiction. The form descends from the literati painters of Joseon and continues in contemporary practice. A cheollik that carries sumukhwa has to honor the gesture, not flatten it.
The print runs across the chima panel and is held back from the bodice entirely. The bodice is lined for structure, the side zip stays hidden. The cheollik reads as a moving painting from across a gallery floor.
