A long jeogori in white, designed as a base layer that holds whatever you pair beneath. The name reads as canvas. Reads quiet, never competes. Lightweight cotton blend, mother-of-pearl button at the goreum.

The Dohwaji Long Jeogori (White)

White canvas. Long line.

Fabric

Lightweight cotton blend in white. Mother-of-pearl button at the goreum.

Occasion

Layered over any chima from the skirt line. The piece that pairs without thinking, that takes the color from the chima beneath and lets that color do the work.

The story

The white jeogori has been the most flexible piece in the Korean wardrobe for centuries. Worn under a wrap, over a chima, alone in summer, layered in spring, the white jeogori works because it does not insist. The Dohwaji honors that tradition. The name reads as canvas, the piece reads the same.

The cut runs long past the natural waist. The cotton blend is light, breathable, and finished without ornament. A mother-of-pearl button closes the goreum for a cleaner placket than the traditional knot. The piece is built to be invisible in the photograph, the chima beneath doing the chromatic work.

Worn over the Cheongcho cyan chima for a cool palette. Worn over the Beoji cherry for a warm one. Worn under a wrap for a layered photograph in late autumn. The piece does what its name says: it holds the canvas steady and lets the rest of the outfit make the painting.

Hand-finished in Seoul. Inspected and fitted in San Mateo.
